Lowspeed cutting tools include: carbon tool steel, alloy tool steel.

Highspeed cutting tools include: high speed steel (white steel,front steel),ceramic tools, cemented carbide.

Thereis a significant difference in performance between high speed cutting tools and low speed cutting tools, that is, hot hardness.Low speed cutting tools are hard, generally below 200 degrees Celsius;High speed cutting tools are hot,usually above 600 degrees Celsius.

Theso-called hot hardness is in high temperature conditions,still have highhardness performance.
